HURON The Brookings cross country teams each had top-10 finishes at the Class AA State Cross Country Meet at Broadland Creek Golf Course on Saturday morning.
The Bobcat girls came in ninth place and the Brookings boys finished in 10th.
Girls
Brookings had 247 points to come in ninth. Kaylie Kuehl led the Bobcats and she came in 14th with a time of 19:04.05. Aubrey Cooley was not far behind Kuehl as she came in 18th (19:14.03). Masie Mogard finished in 62nd (20:29.32) and Jordyn Johnson came in 70th (20:53.90). Quinn Ulvestad came in 88th (21:25.11) and Isabel Overby came in 101st (21:51.67). Natalie Kahler rounded things out for the Cats, coming in 122nd (23:13.72.
Harrisburg won the girls team title with 61 points. Brianna Reilly of Harrisburg won the individual portion of the race with a time of 16:45.92.
Boys
The Bobcats had 308 points to finish in 10th. Dylan Haar was the top finisher for the Cats, coming in 36th with a time of 16:57.11. Shane Harming came in 44th (17:07.54) and Marco Springman finished in 62nd (17:29.51). Garret Ysbrand came in 87th (18:01.51) and Kuddyer Baugher came in 29th (18:02.32). Jack Bierman was the final runner for Brookings and he came in 111th (18:46.84).
Sioux Falls Lincoln was the top team with 39 points. Brandon Valleys Mikah Peters won the race with a time of 14:54.09.
