BROOKINGS Caleb Sayer and Amber Kirkvold were the winners of the 2025 Brookings Marathon on Oct. 18.
Sayer, who is from Lennox, finished the race in 2:40.11. Kirkvold is from Crooks and she finished in 3:01.56. Stephen Lindsey was the top finisher from Brookings in the marathon and he came in fifth (2:57.49).
Gabriel Peters from Sioux Falls was the top male finisher in the half marathon (1:16.49). Kristin Marson of Boston was the top female finisher in the half marathon (1:24.46). Shaun Rausch was the top finisher from Brookings in the half marathon and he came in 16th (1:37.11).
Jonah Hansen from St. Cloud, Minn., was the top male finisher in the 5K (19:58). Leann Diercks was the top female finisher in the 5K (24:45). 13 year old Levi Van Zee was the top Brookings finisher in the 5K and he came in second place (20:45).
The All In The Family relay team from Sioux Falls won the relay race (2:57.07). The Track Rabbits from Brookings came in fourth place (3:32.13).
