New Beginnings Baby Caf supports breastfeeding mothers in every aspect of nursing, from starting to weaning and every variation in between. It is facilitated by two registered nurses who are also IBCLC lactation consultants. New Beginnings Baby Caf occurs every Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the family lounge inside New Beginnings Birth Center in the Brookings Hospital, 300 22nd Ave.
The Brookings Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 714 17th Ave. S. The support group offers the opportunity to meet other individuals with visual impairments to support, encourage and share with each other struggles, triumphs, lessons learned, etc.
