VOLGA It was a tough night for the Sioux Valley volleyball team as the Cossacks lost in straight sets to Hamlin at the Cossack Center.
Hamlin won by scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-21.
Sioux Valley 17 kills and 44 digs as a team. Emma Gorvin had five kills and five digs. Sienna Weiss had five kills and Talya Vincent had 11 digs. Caitlin Russell had 10 digs and Machaela Gerasch had nine assists. McKinley Schwab had seven assists. Maci Licht had seven digs.
Hamlin was led by Addison Neundorf who had 16 kills and 10 digs. Jade Thue had 13 kills and Addelyn Jensen had 10 kills. Jayci Trowbridge had 13 digs and Paxton Neuendorf had 12 digs. Issie Steffensen had 39 assists.
Sioux Valley dropped to 11-7 and plays at Arlington on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
