Faith Wiese, Carson Wosje victorious at LCC Meet

DE SMET Flandreaus Faith Wiese and Sioux Valleys Carson Wosje each came in first place at the Lake Central Conference Meet at the De Smet Golf Course on Monday.

Girls

Flandreau

The Fliers had 15 points to earn the victory as a team. Wiese won the race with a time of 17:41.85. Calla Wiese came in fourth (19:49.81) and Kiley Westberry came in 10th (21:14.25). Tenley LeBrun finished in 13th (21:56.19) and Genesis Martinez Soto came in 17th (23:26.77)

Sioux Valley

The Cossacks tied for second with Clark/Willow Lake as each team had 16 points. Amia Ward came in third (19:43.38) and Talya Vincent came in sixth (20:44.65). Maci Licht finished in seventh (20:49.46) and Lillie Schmit came in 14th (22:18.29). Ava Gatzke was the final competitor for the Cossacks and she came in 16th (22:57.46).

Boys

Flandreau

The Fliers had 18 points and came in second. Logan Kontz led Flandreau and he came in fourth (17:52.32). Nathaniel Hobbie came in sixth (18:06.20) and Sam Schmidt came in eighth (18:35.80). Wyatt Kontz finished in 14th (19:56.85), Franklin Donis Castillo came in 18th (20:05.88) and Tayte Joachims came in 21st (20:30.78).

Sioux Valley

The Cossacks had 20 points as a team and came in third. Wosje won the race with a time of 17:03.47. Levi Axtell and Dubhlainn Vermeulen came in ninth (18:41.92) and 10th (19:15.58), respectively. Jackson Hestermann finished in 11th (19:17.46) and Bret Milton came in 15th (20:01.17).
