TEA The Brookings football team was shut out by Tea Area on Friday night at Titan Stadium as the Titans beat the Bobcats 20-0.
Tea scored all of its points in the first half. Brenner Konrad got the scoring going with 51 seconds left in the first quarter as he ran it in and the Titans kicked the PAT through the uprights to make it 7-0. Konrad ran another touchdown in with 5:20 left in the first half but the Titans failed on a two-point conversion, making it 13-0. Mitch Grant then found Grifin Wiebenga for a touchdown and Cameron Hillestad hit the extra point to make it 20-0 with 27 seconds left in the first half and that was the final.
The Titans outgained the Bobcats 356-59. Brookings had 34 yards on the ground. Bergan Tetzlaff had 43 yards on seven carries.
Jones Huntimer played quarterback for the Bobcats in place of Gavin Anderson. He was 2-for-1 for 25 yards and was sacked four times. Tetzlaff had one catch for 13 yards and Kingston Schneider had one catch for 12 yards.
Brookings is now 3-3. The Bobcats will play at Yankton next Friday at 7 p.m.
