Bobcats compete at Watoma Invite

WATERTOWN The Brookings cross country teams competed in the Watoma Invite on Thursday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course in Watertown.

The Bobcat boys came in fourth and the girls came in fifth. Up next, Brookings will compete in the Eastern South Dakota Conference Meet at the Wild Oak Golf Course in Mitchell on Oct. 11.

Boys

The Bobcats had 105 points as a team. Shane Harming was the top finisher for Brookings and he came in 15th with a time of 17:45.07. Dylan Haar came in 17th (17:48.32) and Marco Springman came in 26th (18:23.92). Garret Ysbrand finished in 29th and Jack Bierman came in 32nd (18:41.14). Kuddyer Baugher came in 41st (19:08.38) and Weston Baker came in 50th (19:51.41). Wyatt Cooley rounded things out for the Cats and he came in 57th (20:28.02).

Girls

The girls had 114 points. Kaylie Kuehl led the way, coming in eighth place (20:09.37). Aubrey Cooley and Maisie Mogard finished in 23rd (21:12.77) and 24th (21:13.51), respectively. Jordyn Johnson came in 31st (22:03.96) and Quinn Ulvestad came in 39th (22:29.56). Isabel Overby finished in 43rd (23:10.48) and Natalie Kahler came in 45th (23:52.56). Sofia Gonzalez came in 54th (25:19.48).
