WATERTOWN The Brookings and Sioux Valley golf teams competed in the Watertown Boys Invite on Tuesday afternoon at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.
The Bobcats came in sixth place and the Cossacks finished in 12th. Brookings had a team score of 313 and Sioux Valley shot 346 as a team.
Tyson Lunn was the top finisher for the Bobcats and he came in 17th place after shooting a 77. Andrew Heinze came in 21st (78) and Rhys Heiberger finished in 23rd (78). Jase Bauer tied for 34th (80) and Issak Earley came in 47th (83). Jack Baszler rounded things out for the Bobcats, coming in 50th (84).
Trentyn Schmit led the Cossacks and she came in 25th (78). Damon Uecker came in 40th (82) and Blaze Mathern came in 59th (88). McCade Nelson came in 77th (98) and Landon Hanssen finished in 78th (98). Nate Larson came in 81st (109).
Brookings will return to the course on Sept. 29 at the Eastern South Dakota Conference Meet in Brandon and Sioux Valley will play in a tournament in Sisseton on Thursday at 10 a.m.
