MITCHELL The Brookings boys golf team came in eighth place in the Mitchell Invite on Friday afternoon.
The Bobcats had a team score of 313. Sioux Falls Lincoln won the tournament with a score of 291. Mitchell came in second (291) and OGorman came in third (292). Yankton finished in fourth (295) and Watertown rounded out the top five (301).
Tyson Lunn led the Bobcats and he came in 13th with a score of 73. Andrew Heinze came in 26th (77) and Jase Bauer tied for 46th (81). Rhys Heiberger came in 56th (82) and Issak Earley came in 72nd (84).
OGormans Taten Mauney won the tournament after beating Mitchells Asher Dannenbring in a playoff. Each player shot a three-under 69. Mitchells Carter McCormick and Yanktons Eli Larson each shot a 70 and came in third and fourth, respectively. Sioux Falls Lincolns Tyson Blom came in fifth (71).
Brookings will play in the Watertown Invitational on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
