REDFIELD The Sioux Valley boys golf team finished in second place in the Redfield Golf Tournament on Tuesday.
The Cossacks shot a 338 as a team. Watertown came in first place with a score of 329. Sisseton came in third (338), Aberdeen Roncalli came in fourth (340) and Groton finished in fifth (354).
Damon Uecker was the top finisher for the Cossacks and he shot a 79. Nate Larson and Landon Hanssen also medalled. Larson came in ninth (82) and Hanssen came in 14th (85). Trentyn Schmit and Blaze Mathern finished in 24th and 25th, respectively, after they each shot a 92.
Milbanks Jonathan DeBoer came in first place individually after shooting a two-under 68. Watertowns Ashton Rabine came in second with a 72. Sissestons Luke Nielsen and Jace Johnson each shot a 77 and came in third and fourth, respectively. Redfields Micah Zastrow came in fifth (78).
The Cossacks will return to the course on Sept. 23 at a tournament in Watertown.
