The Sioux Valley and Estelline/Hendricks volleyball teams each picked up victories on Thursday night.
The Cossacks beat Beresford in four sets and the Redhawks swept Wilmot.
Sioux Valley 3, Beresford 1
VOLGA Sioux Valley improved to 3-1 on Thursday night as the Cossacks won in four sets.
The Cossacks won sets one and two each by a score of 25-21. Beresford fought to keep the match alive with a 25-22 win in set three but Sioux Valley won set four 25-19 to take the match.
Sioux Valley had 42 kills, 80 digs and 41 assists as a team. Lacey Langland had 14 kills to lead the Cossacls. Emma Gorvin had nine kills and 17 digs. Maci Licht had eight kills and Talya Vincent had 25 digs. Mckinley Schwab had 22 assists and eight digs. Cameron Uecker had 11 assists and eight digs and Caitlin Russell had 11 digs.
The Cossacks play at Castlewood on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Estelline/Hendricks 3, Wilmot 0
WILMOT The Redhawks made quick work of the Wolves, winning in straight sets 25-10, 25-15 and 25-13.
Estelline/Hendricks had 35 kills, 42 digs and 27 assists. Presly Bury had seven kills, nine aces and 14 assists. Elyse Wegner had 11 kills and two blocks. Kimmy Schaefer had 15 digs and Allie Duenwald had 12 digs. Camby Bury had 12 assists and four aces. Lita Fryer had six kills.
The Redhawks improved to 3-0 on the season and will host the Redhawk Tournament on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. in Estelline.
