CLARK COUNTY A 15-year-old girl from Henry died in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon 3 miles east of Clark.
The crash occurred north of U.S. Highway 212 on 428th Avenue, according to information in a Friday news release from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The teenagers name has not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the teen, who was driving a 2007 Ford Focus, was traveling north on 428thAvenue from U.S. 212. She lost control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch, rolling onto its roof. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
