Bryant hosting transportation plan meeting on July 23

BRYANT The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the city of Bryant, will hold a second public meeting open house on July 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Bryant City Center, 115 E. Main St.

The public meeting open house is being held to discuss and receive public input on the preliminary recommendations of a Master Transportation Plan being developed for the city.

The area being studied includes all roads, sidewalks, and other transportation-related infrastructure within the city limits of Bryant and anticipated outlying boundaries. The overall goal for the study is to develop a long-range transportation plan for the city. The open house will be informal allowing for one-on-one discussions with the study team. A short presentation will be given at the beginning of the meeting.

Individuals needing assistance, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, should contact the SDDOT ADA coordinator at 605-773-3540 two business days prior to the meeting in order to ensure accommodations are available. For any in-person meeting, notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that the meeting is being held in a physically accessible location.

For those who cannot attend the open house, or may desire additional information on the overall study, the prerecorded presentation and open house displays will be available the day of the public meeting on the study website. The meeting presentation will be streamed through a link on the study website. The website contains information about the study scope, schedule, and also allows for online comments to be submitted.

The study team would appreciate hearing from the area commuters, concerned residents, and area landowners and business owners throughout the comment period. Written comments will be accepted through Aug. 6.
