BROOKINGS The Boys & Girls Club of Brookings has announced the launch of its 15th annual truck raffle, a summer tradition that raises essential funds to support youth in our community.
This years grand prize is a 2024 Dodge RAM 1500 Classic Warlock Quad Cab 4×4, or the winners choice of $25,000 in cash or $25,000 credit toward a vehicle at Einspahr Auto Plaza.
Tickets went on sale June 28 at Brookings Bonanza and are available through July 31, when the winning ticket will be drawn live on stage at 5:30 p.m. at Downtown at Sundown in downtown Brookings.
Each $100 ticket directly supports the clubs mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Proceeds fund essential programming, including academic support, mentorship, healthy meals and safe, engaging spaces for youth in the Brookings community. These funds will also help support the Clubs recent expansion to serve children as young as 6 weeks old through age 5, providing early childhood care and education that helps lay a strong foundation for lifelong success.
We are proud to offer another exciting raffle while giving our community a meaningful way to invest in the next generation, said Jody Hernandez, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains. Every ticket sold brings us closer to a future where every child has the support and opportunities they deserve. Expanding our services to include infants and toddlers helps meet a critical need for families, while providing local businesses with reliable, high-quality care that supports their workforce and strengthens our local economy.
Erin Hill, chief development officer, shared her excitement for this years event, stating, We are thrilled to launch our annual raffle in Brookings, where every ticket sold directly impacts youth and families in our community. From mentorship and meals to safe spaces and summer programs, this fundraiser helps make it all possible. Wed love to invite everyone to join us this Saturday at Brookings Bonanza downtown to help kick off the excitement! The grand prize drawing will take place during Downtown at Sundown on July 31; its going to be a night of fun and celebration.
This years raffle includes more ways to win. In addition to the grand prize options, the truck, the cash, or the vehicle credit, two runner-up winners will each receive $1,000 in cash. Only 1,200 tickets will be sold, and each ticket purchased early is automatically entered into weekly Friday drawings for early bird prizes. These exciting giveaways include a Twin Cities Soccer Getaway, a Sioux Falls Canaries Package, and more.
Tickets can be purchased in person at several community locations: the Boys & Girls Club of Brookings, Brookings Radio, Dacotah Bank, Einspahr Auto, Hy-Vee, and Ramsdells. Online sales are also available starting June 28 at www.greatfuturessd.org. Purchasers must be 18 years or older, and there is no limit to the number of tickets a person may buy while supplies last. Ticket stubs must be completed in full at the time of purchase, with the buyer retaining the larger portion as proof of entry.
This years raffle is made possible by the generous support of Bel Brands Inc., Einspahr Auto Plaza and Dacotah Bank, along with many other valued community sponsors. Due to ongoing construction, the club will not host its traditional hog roast, but families are encouraged to connect with us throughout the summer at local community events, including the grand prize drawing at Downtown at Sundown.
Winners are responsible for any applicable federal, state or local taxes and fees. Raffle tickets are not tax-deductible, and full contest rules are available at www.greatfuturessd.org.
