WOLSEY A bridge improvement project kicked off on June 23 on U.S. Highway 14 and U.S. Highway 281 approximately 2 miles north of Wolsey over Cain Creek. This project includes concrete bridge deck overlay, berm repair, work on approach slabs, guardrails, and pavement.
During the bridge improvement project, traffic will be controlled with temporary signals. Motorists are advised that a 16-foot width restriction will be in place during construction.
The prime contractor for this $3 million project is BX Civil & Construction Inc. of Dell Rapids. The overall project completion date is April 2027.
