The annual Legion Ride 605 is a fundraiser for the South Dakota American Legion Foundation.
Donations from this ride benefit veterans in need or children and youth programs supported by the Legion. This years ride ran June 7-10, covering 1,050 miles from Piedmont to Pierre. They picked up donations, local Legion Rider Chapters for shorter ride-alongs and met with the community posts and businesses.
Arlington hosted the Legion Riders in the middle of their run on June 9 for a quick coffee/cookie break, before they headed out to other post stops. Arlington Post 42 Legion and Sons of the American Legion joined together to donate $200 to the worthy cause.
