Cossacks come in 7th in Class A State Tournament

MADISON The Sioux Valley girls golf team came in seventh at the Class A State Tournament on Tuesday afternoon at the Madison Golf & Country Club.

The Cossacks shot 807 as a team. Taylor Bastian was the top finisher for Sioux Valley and she tied for 32nd after shooting a two-round total of 191. Masey Top came in 45th (201) and Abygale Degen finished in 48th (204). Lillie Noble came in 54th (211) and Keyra Kruse came in 81st (271).

St. Thomas More was the team champion after shooting 680. Sioux Falls Christian came in second (685) and Aberdeen Roncalli finished in third (700). Vermillion came in fourth (712) and Madison finished in fifth (718).

St. Thomas Mores Rylan Horning came in first individually with a score of 157. Claire Crawford of Aberdeen Roncalli came in second (160) and St. Thomas Mores Kaitlin Strain finished in third (161). West Centrals Ari Jacobs came in fourth (164) and Dakota Valleys Addicyn Sailer and Sioux Falls Christians Tori Peterson tied for fifth (166).
