More than 200 people attended the Phil Baker concerts on May 29 at McCrory Gardens in Brookings.
The event also had two exhibitor booths: South Dakota State University’s Child and Family Resource Network and BankStar Financial. BankStar has been a sponsor of this concert since the very beginning. Many families stuck around for awhile after the second concert to enjoy a picnic lunch and a few purchased some SDSU ice cream to enjoy in the gardens as well.
McCrory Gardens is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. This summer, it has added a new History Walk throughout the gardens to commemorate the milestone. It features photos from different eras placed in the exact same spots where they were originally taken it’s a really fun and nostalgic way to experience how the gardens have evolved over time.
