SIOUX FALLS The Brookings girls golf team finished in seventh place at the Class AA State Tournament at Prairie Green Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Bobcats shot a two-round total of 731. Miyah Foerster was the top finisher for Brookings as she tied for 15th with a total of 167. Josie Bertrand tied for 24th (176) and Taffney Lunn tied for 52nd (193). Kamryn Streich tied for 56th (196) and Madeline Enderson finished in 61st (204). Carmen Bertrand rounded things out for the Bobcats, coming in 69th (224).
Aberdeen Central was crowned team champion after the Golden Eagles shot 625. Mitchell came in second (643) and Rapid City Stevens came in third (674). OGorman finished in fourth (696) and Sioux Falls Jefferson rounded out the top five (704).
Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central won the individual tournament after shooting a four-under par 140. Mitchells Maddie Childs came in second (148) and Spearfishs Alison Kennedy came in third (152). Aberdeen Centrals Emma Dohrer and Kyley Wirebaugh came in fourth (154) and fifth (157), respectively.
