Cossacks in seventh after day one of Class A Tournament

MADISON The Sioux Valley girls golf team is in seventh place in the Class A State Tournament after the first round was played at Madison Golf & Country Club on Monday.

The Cossacks shot a 410 as a team on Monday. Vermillion sits in first place after shooting a 344 as a team. Sioux Falls Christian and St. Thomas More are tied for second (345). Aberdeen Roncalli is in fourth (348) and Madison is in fifth (368).

Massey Top is tied for 44th for Sioux Valley after shooting a 100. Lillie Noble is tied for 49th (101) and Taylor Bastian is in 51st (102). Abygale Degen is tied for 52nd (107) and Keyra Kruse is in 82nd (137).

Aberdeen Roncallis Claire Crawford is in first after shooting a 76. Sioux Falls Christians Tori Peterson is in second (80). West Centrals Ari Jacobs, St. Thomas Mores Rylan Horning and Vermillions Taylor Reuvers are all tied for third (81).

The second and final round of the Class A Tournament will be played on Tuesday.
