Bobcats in seventh after day one of Class AA State Tournament

SIOUX FALLS The Brookings girls golf team sits in seventh place after the first round of the Class AA State Golf Tournament was played at Prairie Green Golf Course on Monday.

The Bobcats have a score of 377 as a team after the first round. Aberdeen Central is in first place with a score of 317. Mitchell is in second (327) and Rapid City Stevens is in third (342). OGorman is in fourth (353) and Sioux Falls Lincoln is in fifth (358).

Miyah Foerster leads the Bobcats and she is tied for 19th after shooting an 88 on day one. Josie Bertrand is tied for 23rd (89) and Kamryn Streich is tied for 49th (97). Tafney Lunn is tied for 55th (103) and Madeline Enderson is tied for 57th (106). Carmen Bertand is tied for 66th (111).

Aberdeen Centrals Olivia Braun is in first place after shooting a one-under par 71 on day one. Mitchells Maddie Childs, Aberdeen Centrals Emma Dohrer and Mitchells Anna Eliason are tied for second (77). Spearfishs Alison Kennedy is in fifth (79).

The second and final round of the Class AA Tournament will be played Tuesday.
