Six Brookings-area teams compete in Class B State Track & Field Meet

SIOUX FALLS Six Brookings-area teams competed in the first day of the Class B State Track & Field Meet on Thursday in Sioux Falls.

Arlington, Colman-Egan, Deubrook Area, Estelline/Hendricks, Iroquois/Lake Preston and Oldham-Ramona-Rutland all had competitors on Thursday.

Girls

Arlington

Chloe Raw qualified for the 100 meter dash finals after finishing in second with a time of 11.99 seconds. She also came in second in the long jump with a jump of 18 feet.

Halley Miller, Gracelyn Miller, Jaelyn Huntimer and Raw came in second in the 4×100 prelims (50.49).

Colman-Egan

Crystal Silva-Dominguez, Avery Baumberger, Jolie Flatten and Brynlee Landis came in second in the sprint medley relay (4:17.49). Elaina Rhode, Finley Luze, Baumberger and Silva-Dominguez came in seventh in the 4×100 (51.15).

Rhode came in 10th in the 100 meter hurdles prelims (16.61) and Addison Geigle came in 23rd in the same event (17.85).

Anna Zwart came in 10th in the discus (111-04) and Quinn Meyer came in 11th in the long jump (15-10.00).

Deubrook Area

Kyra Bowne, Matti Ramlo, Kylee Johnson and Nora Olsen came in seventh in the sprint medley relay (4:27.44).

Kiana Schmit came in 20th in the discus (94-04) and Zoey Molengraaf came in 22nd in the same event (91-07).

Iroquois/Lake Preston

Hadlee Holt finished in second in the discus with a throw of 140 feet and one inch.

Oldham-Ramona-Rutland

Emmalyn Pickar came in 15th in the discus (103.08).

Boys

Colman-Egan

Christopher Lee came in first in the 100 meter dash prelims (11.03). Hayden Pearson came in 21st in the same event (12.01). Pearson, Mikano Lee, Christopher Lee and Jack Mousel came in first in the 4×100 relay prelims (43.52). Christopher Lee, Mikano Lee, Zachary Pederson and Sutton Bunde came in 11th in the sprint medley relay (3:49.42).

Deubrook Area

Sam Leen finished in seventh in the discus (136-03). Derrick Eischens, Axel Trooien, Josh Moberg and Charlie Olsen came in 15th in the sprint medley relay (3:51.79).

Estelline/Hendricks

Regan Schwartz came in 17th in the 100 meter dash prelims (11.87). Parker Lantgen, Kyler Carson, Schwartz and Cooper Schaefer came in 16th in the sprint medley relay (3:52.05).
