BROOKINGS Summer swimming season has arrived in Brookings with the opening of the Hillcrest Aquatic Center on Thursday.
While there werent overflowing crowds on Thursday afternoon, its expected that will change as the weekend arrives and with it, sunny skies and highs from the upper 70s today to the low to mid-80s on Saturday and Sunday. Open swim hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
Daily admission is $7, and season tickets and punch cards are available as well. Families can swim together on Sundays from 4 to 7 p.m. and a sensory-friendly swim period runs Tuesdays from noon to 12:45 p.m.
