Twenty-six track and field athletes earned South Dakota Cross Country and Track and Field Association Academic All-State honors.
The 26 athletes come from five different schools. The criteria for earning Academic All-State includes being a senior, participating in track and field for at least five years and having a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Brookings led the way with 10 honorees, six boys and four girls. The six boys are Charlie Bisgard, Alex Diersen, Cole Hockett, Jon Kahler, Ernest Ting and Seth Voigt. The girls were Paige Holt, Kennedy Nemitz, Josie Nold and Logan Smidt.
Colman-Egan had seven honorees in Addison Geigle, Presley Luze, Elaina Rhode , Anna Zwart, Jackson Zwart, Jase Mousel and Jack Mousel.
Sioux Valleys Adison Renkly, Isabelle Bloker, Savan Guthmiller, Brock Christopherson and Jakob Guthmiller were honored. Elkton-Lake Bentons Blake DeVries, Andrew Tideman and Tanner Stein were honored. Chloe Raw was the lone honoree for Arlington.
