BROOKINGS Mama T. Rex and her son Max, the Childrens Museum of South Dakotas life-size animatronic dinosaurs, have something to roar about.
Dinosaur Day, a day to celebrate and learn more about dinosaurs, is set for June 1 from noon to 5 p.m.
The day will feature dinosaur story times, dinosaur pop-up play, dinosaur yoga, and dinosaur-themed art projects. In addition to the special activities, guests will also be able to explore the entire museum.
Dinosaur Day started as a social media holiday and the childrens museum was inspired to turn it into an in-person celebration.
Regular admission rates apply ($11.50 for those ages 1 and up). Go to www.prairieplay.org to learn more.
