BRANDON The Brookings girls golf team finished in fourth place at the Eastern South Dakota Conference meet at the Brandon Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Bobcats finished with a team score of 374. Aberdeen Central came in first (321) and Mitchell finished in second (343). Brandon Valley came in third (371) and Yankton rounded out the top five (380).
Tafney Lunn led the Bobcats and she tied for 12th with a score of 91. Miyah Foerster tied for 17th (93) and Madeline Enderson and Josie Bertrand each tied for 20th (95). Kamryn Striech tied for 31st (102) and Carmen Bertrand tied for 38th (107).
Aberdeen Centrals Olivia Braun was the only player under par as she shot a 70. Watertowns Gabi Olson came in second (80) and Aberdeen Centrals Emma Dohrer and Yanktons Ellia Homstad tied for third (81). Aberdeen Centrals Kyley Wirebaugh and Mitchells Ava Eliason tied for fifth (83).
Brookings will compete in the state tournament next. The Class AA Tournament will begin on Monday at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls and will finish on June 3.
