Linda Jean Fredrikson passed away May 12, 2025, from complications after an appendectomy.
Born in Minneapolis on Oct. 1, 1949, to Jean and Arlene Mehegan, she was raised in Brookings South Dakota, graduated from Brookings High School, and attended South Dakota State University. On Sept. 7, 1969, she married David Fredrikson. She spent 30 years as an Army wife, raising two beautiful children while pursuing a successful career in floral design, sales and home dcor.
She is survived by her husband David, daughter Tamara, son Aaron, sister Pat, and brothers Mike and Don.
Family and friends will celebrate her life at 1 p.m. June 1 at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance Center, 1600 W. Russell St, Sioux Falls.
