VOLGA The Sioux Valley girls golf team qualified for the state tournament on Thursday at Meadow Creek Golf Course.
The Cossacks came in third place in the Region 1A Tournament after shooting 392 as a team. Aberdeen Roncalli came in first place with a score of 345. Madison finished in second (349).
Masey Top led the Cossacks on Thursday and she came in 12th with a score of 94. Abygale Degen also shot a 94 and came in 13th. Taylor Bastian finished right behind Top and Degen in 14th (95). Lillie Noble shot a 109 and Keyra Kruse shot a 111.
The Class A State Tournament will be in Madison. The first round will take place on June 2 and the tournament will conclude on June 3.
