• Elliot Travis Hasse, 41, Vermillion, possession of controlled substance in schedules I or II, fined $800.50 and sentenced to three years in the state penitentiary and 25 days in BCDC, all penitentiary time suspended upon conditions imposed by the court, suspended execution of sentence.

CLASS I MISDEMEANORS

• Rudi Omar Gonzalez, 30, of 601 Sixth St., simple assault intentionally cause bodily injury, fined $512.50 and sentenced to 45 days in Brookings County Detention Center, 30 days of jail time suspended upon conditions imposed by the court.
