From May 16 through May 18, residents can visit any South Dakota state park for free. No entrance license needed.
People can also fish without a license all weekend long throughout South Dakota. Its the perfect time to pack up, head out, and make the most of spring with a last-minute camping trip, lakeside picnic, or trail adventure.
Lodges are open, campsites are available, and events are happening across the state (camping fees, limits, and regulations still apply).
The 2024 annual park entrance license expires after Open House Weekend.
