Participants from the Brookings area included young women from Arlington, Badger, Brookings, Bryant and Lake Preston/Arlington will be taking part in American Legion Auxiliary Girls State at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
Coordinators and hostesses for the Girls State Orientation in District 6 at the Arlington American Legion Auxiliary Unit 42 were Lynette Diaz, Angie Pickering, LaNell Quam, Penny Rinderneck, Denise Smtih and Barb Zeller.
