On April 29, Brookings High School’s English department hosted its first-ever literary conference, an academic showcase of 53 papers of research and criticism on various works of literature.
Designed and organized by Ricky Ganci, 12th graders appeared on panels of three and read their original research for audience members, who asked questions at the conclusion of each session.
Nineteen moderators from across the school district hosted each session for over 200 attendees.
