BROOKINGS The Brookings boys tennis team dropped two duals on Saturday at the Hillcrest Tennis Courts.
The Bobcats lost to Aberdeen Central and Huron. They are now 4-10 on the season and will compete in the Eastern South Dakota Conference Meet on Monday and Tuesday in Watertown.
Aberdeen Central 6, Brookings 3
The Bobcats won two singles matches and one doubles match.
Zach Mueller beat Gannon Pederson 10-6 in the No. 1 singles match and Kerrick Zhang defeated Carson Goethads 10-5 in the No. 2 match. Carson Kreie fell to Dawson Pederson 10-1 in the No. 3 match and Brodie McCarty lost to Gustavo Carrora 10-3 in the No. 4 match. Andrew Hahn lost to Aric Tennont 10-2 in the No. 5 match and Xavier St. Pierre lost to Mike Dannen 10-9 in the No. 6 match.
Zhang and Kreie lost to Carrrora and Dawson Pederson 10-1 in the No. 1 doubles match. Mueller and McCarty then beat Wyatt Kiesz and Brock Anderson 10-6 in the No. 2 match. Hahn and St. Pierre fell to Tennont and Dannen 10-4 in the No. 3 match.
Huron 7, Brookings 2
The Bobcats picked up two wins in singles matches. Kreie beat Htoo Zan 10-9 in the No. 3 match and McCarty topped Maner Htoo 10-5 in the No. 4 match. Mueller fell to Matthew Thin 10-6 in the No. 1 match and Zhang lost to Say Poe 10-6 in the No. 2 match. Hahn lost to Ler Hai Moo 10-4 in the No. 5 match and St. Pierre dropped the No. 6 match 10-7 to Aung Myit.
Zhang and Kreie lost to Thin and Htoo 10-2 in the No. 1 doubles match. Mueller and McCarty fell to Say Poe and Zan 10-6 in the No. 2 match and Hahn and St. Pierre lost to Hai Moo and Ywa Hae Moo 10-2.
