On May 1, Cub Scouts from Brookings Pack 24 and Troop 251 spent an afternoon cleaning up the trail to the north of Edgebrook Golf Course.
Collectively, they picked up over a dozen bags of trash. Brookings is a bit cleaner thanks to the efforts of children and the parent volunteers dedicated to their community.
Pack 24 meets on Mondays during the school year at GracePoint Wesleyan Church from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cub Scouts is available for boys and girls from kindergarten to fifth grade.
