ARLINGTON Both Sioux Valley golf teams competed in the Lake Central Conference Meet at Lake Region Golf Course on Monday afternoon.
The Cossack boys won the tournament and the girls came in second place.
Boys
Sioux Valley had a team score of 229 to come away with the win. Clark/Willow Lake came in second (232) and Hamlin finished in third (241). Flandreau came in fourth (255) and De Smet rounded out the top five (257).
Tate Steffensen of the Cossacks won the individual title with a seven-under 65. Trentyn Schmidt came in 10th (81) for Sioux Valley. Maverick Nelson and Damon Uecker finished in 13th (83) and 14th (84), respectively. Landon Hanssen came in 18th (88).
Alfie Henderson was the top finisher for Flandreau and he came in third (77). Jon Burshiem came in 15th (84) and Hunter Bushkofsky finished in 22nd (94). Nate Hobbie was the final competitor for Flandreau and he came in 34th (121).
Girls
The Cossacks came in second place on the girls side with a team score of 277. Clark/Willow Lake won the team championship with a score of 261. De Smet came in third (328) and Deuel came in fourth (337).
Sioux Valley had four of the top-six finishers and they finished third-sixth. Massey Top came in third with a score of 91. Taylor Bastian and Lillie Noble each shot a 93 and came in fourth and fifth, respectively. Aby Degen finished in sixth (94). Keyra Kruse came in 13th (110).
CWL had the top-two finishers in Brynn Roehrich (79) and Faith Roehrich (81).
