Bobcats come in sixth in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS The Brookings girls golf team came in sixth place at the Warrior Invite at Prairie Green Golf Course on Monday night.

The Bobcats had a team score of 372 for the sixth-place finish. Mitchell came in first place with a score of 306. Aberdeen Central came in second (319) and Rapid City Stevens finished in third (336). OGorman came in fourth (337) and Sioux Falls Lincoln rounded out the top five (350).

Miyah Foerster was the top finisher for the Cats and she came in 14th with a score of 83. Josie Bertrand came in 21st (88) and Aubrey Knutzen finished in 40th (100). Tafney Lunn was not far behind Knutzen in 42nd (101) and Madeline Enderson came in 46th (104). Kamryn Streich was the final finisher for Brookings, coming 49th (108).

Mitchells Maddie Childs won the individual championship after shooting a two-under 70. Rapid City Stevens shot an even par 72 to come in second. Emma Doher of Aberdeen Central came in third (73) and OGormans Erin Hurd came in fourth (74). Mitchells Anna Eliason finished in fifth (75).

Brookings will compete in a tournament in Huron at Broadland Creek Golf Course on Thursday and it is set to start at 10 a.m.
