Law enforcers seeking Brookings man alleged to have broken into impound lot

AURORA Authorities are on the lookout for a Brookings resident after, according to the Brookings County Sheriffs Office, he took his vehicle from an impound lot driving through a $10,000 fence in the process.

Travis Bullington, 21, entered the impound lot on Redmond Road West in Aurora at 10:36 p.m. Tuesday, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote in a Thursday news release. He forced entry into his 1997 Ford F350 and then drove it through the fence. The incident was reported at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday.

The pickup was being stored in the lot after it was seized when he used it during a pursuit, Sebring wrote. Multiple charges have been requested and deputies continue to look for both Travis and the stolen truck.

Bullington has other warrants for his arrest from the pursuit and has been evading capture, Sebring added, noting that if hes seen, do not approach. Rather, call 911 and officers will respond.

Anyone with any information can call the sheriffs office at 605-696-8300 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously by visiting www.brookingsareacrimestoppers.com or by calling 605-692-STOP (7867).

The sheriffs office is continuing to investigate the incident.
