Central Bank demolition underway in Brookings

Crews from Brookings-based Bowes Construction were demolishing the old Central Bank building at 600 Main Ave. on Tuesday morning.

Once the structure has been removed and debris cleared, work will begin on building a new facility for Central Bank. It will be a 6,234-square-foot, single-story structure, and work is expected to take 12 to 18 months.
