I am writing to support Lisa Hagers appointment to the Brookings City Council.
After watching her presentation at Tuesday nights council meeting, I am certain she is the best person for the job. She demonstrated a commitment to public service that was well documented. She was the only applicant who had studied the citys master plan and had thoughtful answers to your questions about it.
Her service as vice chair of the City Charter revision committee produced a document that will serve the city well and the voters agreed.
I know Lisa through her work at SDSU. I spoke to her State and Local government class several times and her students were engaged and curious about the issues and asked lots of pertinent questions.
Lisa has the good of the city at heart and is a true public servant.
