Brookings Superintendent Summer Schultz will be receiving the Innovator of the Year Award from the South Dakota School Superintendents Associations.
The Brookings School Board surprised Schultz with the announcement at last weeks board meeting. The award is in recognition of Schultz co-developing the Brookings Childcare Collaborative and launching a Child Development Associate program for students at Brookings High School.
She will receive the award at the South Dakota School Superintendents Association’s annual conference in July.
