Brookings come in 6th in Harrisburg Tournament

HARRISBURG The Brookings girls golf team finished in sixth place at the Harrisburg Invite on Thursday at Spring Creek Golf Course.

The Bobcats had a team score of 363. Mitchell came in first with a score of 315. Aberdeen Central came in second (316) and OGorman finished in third (351). Yankton came in fourth (361) and Sioux Falls Lincoln rounded out the top five (362).

Josie Bertrand led the way for the Bobcats, coming in 14th place with a score of 85. Miyah Foerster came in 18th (87) and Madeline Enderson came in 34th (94). Tafney Lunn finished in 37th (97) and Aubrey Knutzen came in 54th (106). Kamryn Streich rounded things out for the Bobcats, coming in 56th (107).

Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central won the individual tournament and she was the only golfer to shoot under par with a score of 68. Maddie Childs of Mitchell came in second (74) and Pierres Hadley Hart came in third (75). OGormans Erin Hurd came in fourth (76) and Emma Dohrer of Aberdeen Central came in fifth (78).

Brookings will compete in a quadrangular in Brandon on April 25 and it will start at 12 p.m.
