Six area players represent the 2025 Boys Basketball All-Register Team and they come from five different schools.
Sioux Valleys Maverick Nelson, who is the Register Player of the Year, leads the team. Colman-Egan has two representatives in Jase Mousel and Jackson Zwart. Estelline/Hendricks Kyler Carlson, Elkton-Lake Bentons Tanner Drietz and Deubrook Areas Isaac Gass round out the team.
Maverick Nelson | Senior | Sioux Valley
Nelson was a Second Team Class A All-State selection this season. He averaged 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals per game this season. Nelson put in 64 3-pointers this season. For his career he had over 900 points, 275 rebounds, 175 assists and 92 steals.
Nelson was also a First Team All-Big East Conference selection and was the top vote getter in the conference. He was named Lake Central All-Conference team as well.
This season, [Nelson] became a more complete player and carried the scoring load for us, said Sioux Valley head coach Bill Vincent. He scored in multiple ways, from multiple areas. This senior season saw his leadership abilities grow.

Jase Mousel | Senior | Colman-Egan
Mousel had a strong senior season for the Hawks. He averaged 19 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game this season. He was an Class B All-State Honorable Mention and was on the Dakota Valley All-Conference Second Team.
Jackson Zwart | Senior | Colman-Egan
Zwart was a leader for the Hawks this season. He averaged 14.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and three assists per game this season. Zwart was a Third Team All-Dakota Valley Conference selection.
Kyler Carlson | Junior | Estelline/Hendricks
Carlson was a Class B All-State Honorable Mention. He averaged 17.4 points, four assists and two steals per game. Carlson was also a Second Team All-Dakota Valley Conference selection.
Tanner Drietz | Senior | Elkton-Lake Benton
Drietz put up big numbers for the Elks this season. He averaged 16.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and one steal per game this season. He shot 36.5% from three this year and made 58 3-pointers. Dietzs highlight of the season was scoring 37 points in the Entringer Classic, which set the events scoring record. He scored 37 points in another game this season too.
Isaac Gass | Sophomore | Deubrook Area
Gass led the Dolphins in scoring, averaging 14 points per game. He also averaged four rebounds and two assists per game.
