Juba a strong candidate

I have known Cassie Juba for almost a decade witnessing the growth of her business, continued passion for Brookings, and immense investment shes made benefiting our youth.

The 2024 SEARCH survey results of the Brookings School District exemplified that our youth experience gaps in finding useful roles in the community and struggle with the belief that community adults value youth.

Cassie Juba understands that the school board alone cannot influence every aspect of a childs developmental foundation, she collaborates and invests in our community to strengthen support systems. Cassie has partnered or volunteered with Brookings Area United Way, Brookings Habitat for Humanity, Boys & Girls Club of The Northern Plains, Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program, Brookings Behavioral Health & Wellness, local counselors, economic development partners, Brookings Area Transit Authority, and more to understand basic needs, education, and youth enrichment. Cassie understands the reality our youth face and reinforces the positive role of the community, bringing partners to the table to champion public education.

Juba brings evidence-based approaches to her professional work as an educator. While working with hundreds of students and dozens of caregivers and staff in the school district, she understands the educational gaps in the community and the solutions that the school district can continue to promote. She acknowledges that the Science of Reading will elevate the districts educational outcomes and is ready to partner with administration and the board to further its implementation.

Whether it is picking up friends kids in the school pick up line, encouraging school staff, or dedicating years to our youth Cassie recognizes it takes a community to support our parents and raise our children.

Join me on April 8 in casting your vote for an experienced educator, a strong advocate, and a community collaborator. Vote Cassie Juba for School Board.
