I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you why I would like to represent the citizens of Brookings on the City Council.
Over the last 30 years, I have graduated from SDSU, raised a family and operated a family business in Brookings. I have coached and volunteered at many different levels of youth sports and activities. All of these experiences combined have allowed me to watch the community grow and expand. I have gained a lot of knowledge from this, concerning needs for our youth, zoning, drainage etc.
I also believe that we should never have unopposed elections. The citizens should always be able to exercise their right to vote and take part in the election process.
We want individuals to Bring Their Dreams. We need to create policy that will help everyone not only bring their dreams, but be able to achieve them. Our children and youth are one of our greatest assets, and we need to do whatever we can to help them be successful and want to call Brookings their home for many years to come.
My goal would be to represent all of the citizens of our community by being open and transparent. Every citizen has a voice and deserves for their voice to be heard. Brookings is home to all of us, and I would love to represent you, so that we can make Brookings the best it can be.
I stand behind the values of Listen Learn Lead I pledge to work as hard as I can for the citizens of Brookings and our future leaders. I humbly ask for your vote and support in our upcoming city council election on April 8.
