Candace Candi Rochel

Candace (Candi) L. Rochel (ne Klosterman), 73, of Elkton, SD, passed away on March 13, 2025, one day prior to her birthday, after a long hard-fought battle with colon cancer. She died in her home while in the care of her of partner, Bob and home hospice.
Candi was born March 14, 1951, in Hendricks, MN, the daughter of Myles and Frances (Walsh) Klosterman.
Candi is survived by her life-partner, Robert (Bob) Thompson of 37 years; her son, Brent (Lori) Andersen; her daughter, Shannon Rochel (Tyrell Ehnes); her sister, Kay (Don) Simon; and her brother Don (Verlyn) Klosterman; her grandchildren: Andrew Andersen (Kendra VanDerostyne), Taylor Andersen, Seth Andersen (Alexis Krantz), Chelsea (Garrett) Abrahamsen, Makenna (Geoff) Wright, Gavin Andersen, and Daniel Andersen; her great-grandchildren: Aydenn and Emilia Warrick; and Gemma and Malcolm Wright; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Klosterman, Viva (Charles) Alberts, Deb (Les) Burlage; her brother-in-law, Dean (Maureen) Andersen; her mother-in-law, Helen Andersen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Candi is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Andersen; her first husband, Daniel Andersen; her parents, Myles and Frances Klosterman; Stepmother, Ruth Klosterman; her brothers: Tom Klosterman and Jim Klosterman; her sister-in-law, Dorothey Klosterman; and her father-in-law, J.W. Andersen.
Per Candis wishes, a celebration of her life with a private family burial at Elkton City cemetery will be held at a later date. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
