The Brookings TaeKwonDo Competition Team participated in the Minnesota AAU State Championship on March 9.
The team took nine athletes to compete and all of them qualified for nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah, in July. Those members placing in the top threein theirevents were:
- Stephen Anawski, third in sparring and second in forms
- Trestin Johnson, third in sparring
- Blythe Jones, first place in sparring and third place in forms
- Clare Overby, first in sparring
- Laurissa Thomas, second in sparring
- Nikki Waligoske, third in sparring
- Garrett Ysbrand, second in sparring and third in forms
