Jon Schoenfelder, 61, of Brookings, SD, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls, SD.
A Liturgical Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Rudes Funeral Home, Brookings, SD. Memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Rudes Funeral Home, Brookings, SD. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ADVANCE of Brookings, SD in Jons name.
Jon Schoenfelder was born on May 30, 1963, in Tyndall, SD, the son of Fran and Jan (Efta) Schoenfelder.
Jon attended public school in Plankinton, SD. Jon was employed at ADVANCE in Brookings, SD since 1984.
He enjoyed family activities of fishing, hunting and watching athletic events, with his favorite being wrestling.
Jon is survived by his parents, Fran and Barb; his sisters, Twyla (Mark) Walter; Tonya; his brother, Jay (Tracie); eleven nieces and nephews and one great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jan; his grandparents, Pete and Lumena Schoenfelder and James and Lillian Efta.
