SIOUX FALLS South Dakota States Brooklyn Meyer scored 34 points against Kansas City over the weekend to earn a share of the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors.
The Jackrabbits hit the road and defeated Kansas City 80-60 behind a career-high 34-point game from Meyer. She was 13-for-16 from the floor en route to her career-high and added five rebounds, a pair of assists, one steal and a block to her stat line. Meyers 34 points are the most by a Jackrabbit in regulation in the Division I era and it was her third 30-plus-point game of the year.
Meyer shares the award with Omahas Ja Harvey, who also scored 34 points this week, doing so against South Dakota on Thursday in the Mavericks lone game of the week.
Meyer collected the sixth weekly honor of her career, second of the season.
Meyer posted her third 30-plus-point game of the year. She is the third Jackrabbit in SDSU history to score at least 30 points three times in a single season.
