BROOKINGS The Brookings Figure Skating Club will hold the Prairie Polar Blast Competition this weekend at the Larson Ice Center.
Admission to the competition is free and there will be 328 events. There are 83 total skaters from five different skating clubs. There are a total of 10 team events.
There are 31 skaters from the Brookings Figure Skating Club that will be competing.
The other teams include: Blue Mound Figure Skaters Inc. from New Ulm, Minn., Sioux Falls Figure Skating Club, Yankton Area Ice Association and Cottage Grove Figure Skating.
The competition is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
