BROOKINGS First Presbyterian Church will host the founders of Operation Education Nairobi at a potluck meal after worship on Feb. 16. Worship is at 10 a.m., with the meal at 11 a.m.
Operation Education Nairobi is a non-profit organization started in Columbus, Nebraska. Its mission is to raise funds to provide educational scholarships for children in Nairobi, Kenya whose families cant afford school fees. Julie (Cannady) Graham and Katie Claus will give a brief presentation describing the project and its goals.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and make a donation to the group, as they feel moved. All are invited to attend in the basement of the church at 405 Seventh Ave. An elevator entrance is on the north side of the building.
